Skrchov

Skrchov ( German Skerchow, formerly Skrhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers north-west of Letovice and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Skrchov is in the Malá Haná ( Small Hanna ) on the right bank of the Svitava opposite the mouth of the Zavadilka. To the west stretches the forest area Ochoz. In the north- east rises the Vinohrádky (434 m ) south of the Cerveny vrch (443 m). On the left side of the Svitava lead the railway line Česká Třebová - Brno and state highway 461 I/43/E by the local situation Borová. To the south lies the dam Letovice.

Neighboring towns are Stvolová, Skřib and Dolni Smržov in the north, Babolky in the northeast, Borová and Slatinka in the east, U Škrobárny the southeast, Meziříčko and Svitavice in the south, Lazinov and Dolni Poříčí the southwest, Prostřední Poříčí in the west and Horni Poříčí and Vlkov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Skrýchov was made in 1406 in connection with a Petr Kukla of Skrýchov. 1545 the village belonged Čeněk Lomnice, he was succeeded by Adam Lomnice († 1575). The lower jurisdiction over the village was responsible for the first local judge of Stvolová, from 1634 to the judge of Dolni Smržov. The oldest town seal dates from the year 1616. 1674 consisted of eight Skrchov and 1718 of five houses. Later on, the village expanded to the southeast. There Borová emerged as a settlement of the thresher for the manorial court Slatinka. 1834 Skrchov had grown to 25 stores and had 123 inhabitants. Catholic vicarage was Bradlné, later the village was umgepfarrt after Letovice. The Bohemian Brethren built in 1844 Vanovice a church. As of 1843 the construction of the railway from Brno to Bohemian Trübau was carried out by kk Northern State Railway. It also Svitava between Stvolová and Skrchov was regulated. The railway line separated Skrchov and Borová from each other. In 1849, the railway started operations. Until the mid- 19th century, the village of the rule Letovice was submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Skrhov formed in 1850 a part of the community Smržov in the District Commission Boskovice. In Dolni Smržov a Protestant cemetery was created in 1868. 1880 was the community Skrchov with the districts Slatinka and Borová. After the establishment of the new school in Skřib the children of Skrchov 1895 there were enrolled, previously was the teaching of Bradlné. In place of the old mill Bohumír Jeřábek founded in 1910, the powder paint factory Teluria, were processed in the shade and Farberze. At this time, the village had 210 inhabitants. In 1921, the number of inhabitants of Skrchov had grown to 231. 1923 Slatinka and Borová broke off and formed their own community. With the beginning of 1961 Skrchov was assigned to the Okres Blansko, at the same time Borová and Dolni Smržov were incorporated. 1982 Borová lost its status as a district. 1986 Skrchov was connected to a district Letovice. Since 1990, the community is again. Skrchov today consists of 44 houses, of which 31 are used for residential purposes permanent.
