Å krdlovice

Škrdlovice ( German Skrdlowitz, also Skerdlowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers north of Zdar nad Sázavou and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Škrdlovice is located in the southwest of Saarer mountains in the source basin of the Škrdlovický creek. To the west lie the ponds Velké Dářko and Nový fishpond. In the east the Sázava flows. To the north rise the Kašovka ( 723 m) and Za Lištinou (720 m) and in the northeast the Tisůvka ( 792 m). One and a half kilometers north of belonging to the historic town of Bohemia border runs to Moravia. West leads the state road I/37 between Zdar nad Sázavou and Ždírec nad Doubravou in a bypass road to Škrdlovice over.

History

The place on Libitzer climbing was probably settled in the 13th century during the colonization of the Bohemian- Moravian borderland. According to legend, the place should have been created by a Köhler called Skrl, after which he was named as Skrlovice. It is likely that the village was founded after 1293 by the Zisterziensterkloster Saar after Wenceslas II had granted the convent the area. The village in 1426 was first documented when Jan Woyna his wife's celebrations Muensperch with the associated villages Radostín and Škrdlová Lhota wrote about. 1493 bought the monastery the rule Müchsberg back with all villages and large forests. During the Thirty Years' War fell in the years 1642-1647 a the Swedes and plundered the monastery. At the same time they burned the surrounding villages whose inhabitants had fled into the mountains. During the War of the Austrian Succession Škrdlovice was successively afflicted 1741-1742 by Austrian, Polish, Saxon, Prussian and French troops.

After the replacement of patrimonial Škrdlovice formed with the district Karlov 1850 a municipality in the district team Polná. 1873 Karlov became independent. 1877, the classification of the municipality to the district Chotiebor.
