The railway line Reinsvoll - Skreia, Norwegian Skreiabanen was a 21.92 km long railway line in Fylke Oppland in Norway. It leads from junction station Reinsvoll (1901 Reinsvolden stoppested, 1902 Reinsvold, 1921 Reinsvoll ) in the municipality of Vestre Toten after Skreia in the community Østre dead.

History

The railway line Reinsvoll - Skreia was a branch line from the Gjøvikbane. The Works by the king was on 19 June 1897. The route was opened on November 26, 1902 by the royal special train. Originally Gjøvikbane should partially follow the route of the Skreiabane. With the built then route the interests of large industrial enterprises were included in Raufoss and Hunndalen. The 22- kilometer route had a height difference of 195 meters.

1907 required the passenger trains up to 60 minutes in each direction. Through the use of railcars travel time from 1929 could be significantly reduced. The five pairs of trains daily needed just 40 to 45 minutes. In addition to the passenger trains there was a Tiertransportzug. Important source of income was the milk transport.

The passenger was posted on October 14, 1963, the freight followed in 1987. In the mid-1990s, the path was in a foot and cycle path rebuilt.

All station building and goods shed was created by the architect Paul Due, just like the engine shed and storage building in Skreia. Various styles were used, so that the buildings are very varied at the track and have high architectural quality. Lena and Kraby are decorated in Art Nouveau style, while the train station in Skreia has more Chinese character.

Stations

Bilitt was originally breakpoint, but was upgraded later because of military traffic to Starum to the station. The station was operated until 1988. In conjunction with the setting of the track all the buildings were demolished to make way for the expansion of Riksvei.

The terminus Skreia had next to the station building from the outset outbuildings, a roundhouse, a carriage house, a hub, a coaling station and a water tower. The station was occupied until 1985.
