Sleepytime Trio

Sleep Time is a trio Since 1994, American emocore band from Harrisonburg, Virginia.

History

After the band Maximillian Colby was disbanded, the band formed a native of this band Drew Ringo along with Ben Davis on bass, and Jonathan Fuller on drums Sleepytime Trio. In the summer of 1995 was joined by active even at Maximillian Colby Dave Nesmith as second guitarist to do so.

After the line-up was complete, the band went on tour in 1996, in which she played 20 concerts in 17 days, while in Florida, Chicago, Quebec City and back to Washington, DC traveled.

1998, there was a short break for the band, because Drew Ringo was for a time in Seattle and the other band members had time for other bands like Engine Down, The Rah Bras or Milemaker. After this short time the band played together again.

With memory -minus in 2002 came a new album by the band at the label Lovitt Records out.

Style

Her style corresponds to the typical Emo sound. Mid- tempo, D.C. Hardcore with a little messy acting song structures, emotionally sung and shouted lines of text, and words; Heavy guitars and quieter monotonous Parts characterize the band and are typical of the genre. Nevertheless, the influence of a harder Emobands, referred to Screamo audible. Especially the more aggressive style of play and the stronger use of more aggressive screaming point to this special form of the genre.
