Slendro

Slendro ( Javanese ), called in some sources also Salendro, Slédro in Indonesia is a seven- tempered almost gleichstufige scale (or mood ), which is used in Javanese music. In contrast to the European tonal system, the octave is divided into 12 exactly equal pitches, the pitch intervals vary with the slendro minimal ( Equi- pentatonic ). The tone spacing in a halftone in the European tonal system is the size of 100 cents. In this system of units, the distances behave when slendro as follows: 223 253 236 225 263

The other of the two commonly used in gamelan music sound systems means Pelog.
