Slovenske Konjice

Konjice ( German Gonobitz ) is a market town and city in Slovenia, former Lower Styria.

History

The Lords of Gonobitz first emerged in the mid-12th century in appearance, probably as ministeriales of the Reigning Prince. Leopold de Gonvicz has the Margrave Ottokar III. Seizer the valley for the new Charterhouse sold.

The parish church of St. George was first mentioned in 1146, but earlier origin.

The partially preserved until today palaces and courtyards are mainly from the 15th century: Trebenek ( Slow Trebnik ) ( 1404), Hebenstreit ( 1476 ), Dobiehof ( Slow Dobje ) ( 1497 ), Golitsch ( Slow Golic ) ( 1542 ).

Castle Gonobitz

The Gonobitz castle has fallen after the execution of Hans Erasmus of Tattenbach and been sold to a refund of his brothers for 48 331 florins to the Carthusian monastery Seiz.

After the dissolution of the monastery by Joseph II bought Weriand Prince of Windisch -Graetz rule Gonobitz 1828 from the religious fund.
