Sly Fox (band)

Sly Fox was an American Pop / New Wave duo of the 1980s. It consisted of the studio musician and vocalist Gary " Mudbone " Cooper and singer Michael Camacho of Puerto Rico.

History

The music duo founded in 1985 in Miami, Florida and was shortly afterwards discovered by British music producer Ted Currier, who produced some songs with them. At the same time, the duo also got his first record deal with Capitol Records, who wanted to promote the formation as a clean teen idols. However, this image does not match her single hit.

In the same year they released their debut album, Let's Go All the Way with the same title Let's Go All the Way as the first single. The song became a hit on both sides of the Atlantic and reached the top ten in the U.S. and in the UK. The next singles followed Stay Tru and Do not Play With Fire, which the duo did justice to the intended clean image again.

Later, Camacho went on solo career and released his debut album Just For You, a jazz album. Meanwhile, Cooper again worked as a studio musician and published in collaboration with Dave Stewart 's debut album Fresh Mud. The album contains blues and rap elements.
