Small Wild Goose Pagoda

The Small Wild Goose Pagoda (Chinese小雁塔, Pinyin Xiǎoyàn tǎ ) is a pagoda in the Chinese city of Xi'an. It was commissioned by the Empress Wu Zetian in memory of her late imperial husband in 684 together with a temple complex in order.

Work on this "Temple of the stored happiness" began 100 days after the death of Emperor Gaozong. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda was built in the years 707 to 709 Originally, it had a total of 15 floors, but lost by several earthquakes of their top two bullets. With the remaining 13 floors today reaches a height of about 43 meters.
