Smash Mouth is an American alternative rock band.
Band History
Formed in late 1994 by Steve Harwell, Greg Camp, Kevin Coleman, and Paul de Lisle was founded in San Jose (California )
Your first hit, and thus her breakthrough in the music industry, Smash Mouth 1997, with the song Walking on the Sun. The subsequent singles failed to match this success and therefore Smash Mouth "one- hit wonder " band was designated as another.
This changed in the summer of 1999 with the single All Star. It was also used for the films Shrek DreamWorks, Rat Race of Universal Studios, Digimon Adventure and Inspector Gadget 1999. In the same year Kevin Coleman was replaced by Mitch Marine. This then also later by Mike Urbano. For Shrek, they also they covered I'm A Believer by The Monkees.
For the album Astro Lounge Smash Mouth was in 2000 3 times platinum.
In the U.S., Smash Mouth has a large fan base in the German-speaking group is rather unknown.
