Smriti
Smriti (Sanskrit, f, स्मॄति, smrti, " what is remembered " ) is the name of a canon of Hindu literature. Smritis have only insofar authority in Hinduism, as they match the Shrutis, the earlier, the primary texts of Hinduism. These have a higher priority, should have because the Rishis, as it is called the old ways, the contents of "heard" directly. But the Smritis apply for their respective followers often as revelations and about to be delivered by the various gurus. About the exact classification of the Smriti there is no consensus.

- Grihyasutras ( Sutras for the domestic rites )
