Smygehuk

Smygehuk is a port and the southernmost point of Sweden and the Scandinavian Peninsula. It is located in the southern Swedish Trelleborg Municipality near the town Smygehamn in Skåne. The distance between Smygehuk and Treriksröset, Sweden's northernmost point is 1572 km.

At the harbor there is a statue of Axel Ebbe as well as a small monument for " Akka of Kebnekaise ," the Selma Lagerlöf's novel Leitgans of Nils Holgersson, in which the port described in the last chapter.

The lighthouse is in operation since 2001; the former home of the lighthouse keeper is now used as a youth hostel.

Just east of the harbor is the prehistoric grave system Bålhög.
