Snap gun
A gun is an electrical picking - usually equipped with accumulator - opening tool, which allows you to open cylinder locks without the matching key ( lock picking ).
A metal spike which is located on the front picking gun is pushed into the lock and turned the device. The drive mechanism moves the spine in high-frequency oscillations ( up to 15,000 Hz), the tumblers in the lock to movements (see resonance frequency) and stimulate the release of the closure. With a little practice you can open in less than 30 seconds almost every standard lock.
The appearance of picking guns was the occasion to also provide a numerical coding or entering a numerical code for suited for high property values in addition to the mechanical block lock.
