SNCF Class A1AA1A 68000

The diesel-electric locomotives of the series A1AA1A 68000 were built 1963-1968 for the French state railway SNCF.

There are mainline diesel locomotives for passenger and freight trains with the wheel arrangement (A1A ) ' (A1A ) ', the middle axes of the three-axle bogies are therefore not driven. By changing the springs, either a friction weight are made of 72 or 80 tons, a maximum axle load of the driving axles of 18 or 20 tons.
