SønderjyskE

The Sønderjysk Elite Sport ( SønderjyskE ) is a Danish sports club which is active and successful in several team sports.

History

SønderjyskE is a 2004 implemented merger of five clubs Fodboldklub Haderslev, Tønder TM, Sønderjyske HK, Vojens BI and IK Jutland. TM Tønder entered 2006 again; RF Sønderborg has taken its place.

Through this merger, the economic and sporting conditions for the development of a highly professional sports organization in the Southern Jutland Region to be created. The medium-term goal is to establish in the top five teams in the country.

The first success was already in the 2004/05 season. SønderjyskE won the championship in the Viasat Sport Division and promotion to the top flight, the Super League, but these had to leave after only one year as a table Penultimate again. In 2008 they managed to climb back to the highest Danish league.

Besides football, the sports of handball and ice hockey are operated at SønderjyskE. The various teams wear their games across the Danish-German border region, so in Haderslev, Tønder, Vojens, Aabenrå, Sønderborg and Gråsten.

Handball Department

The women's team handball division increased in 2005 after the championship in the first division for the first time in the Toms Ligaen, the highest Danish league on. In the coming season the team finished last in the Toms Ligaen, so the women's handball team descended again. After a lot of new players came to the team SønderjyskE 2008 returned to the top flight. At the end of the season 2010/11 the ladies alighted at the 1st Division. In summer 2012 the team was promoted to the top flight for the third time.

The Hockey Department SønderjyskE has so far six times the Danish championship win ( three times more than Vojens IK ), last in the season 2009/10.
