SNEB

The SNEB rocket ( abbreviation for Societe Nouvelle establishment Edgar Brandt ) is an unguided air - to-ground missile by the French manufacturer TDA Armements. It is transported with the rocket - tube launch canister and fired from fighter jets and helicopters, after the pilot has taken the objective targeted.

Description

The missile is powered by a solid rocket motor. Various missile versions were developed. Both missiles with the international standard diameter of 70 mm and the preferred size of France of 68 mm are available. They can be used for both anti-tank and against secondary targets.

The Systeme de Roquette A Corrections de Trajectoire ( SYROCOT ) is a program under development that is compatible with the existing systems of SNEB and among other things provides a laser- guided missile. It is the counter-program to the U.S. project APKWS.
