Snina District

The Okres Snina is an administrative unit in eastern Slovakia with 39 204 inhabitants ( 2004) and an area of 805 km ².

He is the easternmost Okres Slovakia and is bordered to the north by Poland, on the east by Ukraine, formerly Karpatoukraine, Region on the south by the Okres Sobrance in Košice and to the west by the Okres Humenné.

Historically, it lies completely in the former county Semplin (see also List of historic counties of Hungary ).
