Snow Iceland ( Spanish name: Isla Nevada) is an uninhabited island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands in Antarctica.

Geography

The island is located in the southwest of the archipelago, southwest of Livingston and Rugged Islands, from which it is separated by the 5 km wide Morton Strait. Snow Iceland has a length of about 20 km, a width of up to 11 km and an area of ​​154.2 km ². The island is almost completely glaciated, only small areas on the north and northeast tip are free of ice.
