Sobe, sobe, balão sobe

The 16th Festival da Canção (Portuguese Festival RTP da Canção 1979) took place on February 23, 1979 at the Cinema Monumental in Lisbon. It served as a Portuguese finals for the Euro Vision Song Contest 1979.

Moderators of the consignment were Fialho Gouveia and Manuela Matos.

As a champion Manuela Bravo was entitled Sobe, sobe, sobe balão forth. When Euro Vision Song Contest in Jerusalem, she received 64 points and finished at the end of the 9th Place.
