Soběsuky (Kroměříž District)

Soběsuky ( German Sobiesuk ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located eight kilometers south-west of Kroměříž and belongs to Okres Kroměříž.

Geography

Soběsuky located at the northern waste of Mars mountains above the Valley of Kotojedka or Olšinka. To the east rise the Kopaniny (309 m). North of the village runs the railway line Kroměříž - Zborovice, the nearest train station is Skržice.

Neighboring towns are Šelešovice and Drahlov in the north, Zlámanka in the northeast, Vrbka in the east, Lhotka and Boří to the southeast, and Újezdsko Milovice in the south, and Cvrčovice Zdounky the southwest, Skržice in the west and Olšina in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village Sobyesuk place in the year 1287. Sobiesuky the place name has been handed down from the year 1520.

After the abolition of patrimonial Soběsuky / Sobiesuk formed with the district Milovice 1850 a municipality in the district team Kroměříž. In 1921 Milovice as a separate parish was. With the beginning of 1961 was the annexation of Milovice and Skržice. The end of 2010 consisted of the district Soběsuky from 52 houses with 140 inhabitants; in the 64 houses of Milovice lived 166 persons and Skržice with Olšina had 67 inhabitants, living in 29 houses.
