Sobiesław Zasada

Sobiesław Zasada ( born January 27, 1930 in Dąbrowa Górnicza ) is a former Polish racing driver and successful businessman.

Originally Athlete of the economy was a graduate of the Cracow School of Economics (1952 ) in the 1960s, a well-known rally athletes. 1966, 1967 and 1971, he won the European title in 1968, 1969 and 1972 he was vice- European champion. Eleven times he was Polish champion. Overall, he won at 148 car rallies. In 1967 he was elected to Poland's athlete of the year. First drew Zasada makes the company Steyr -Puch (3 years), followed by Porsche (5 years ) and BMW ( 2 years). At the end of his career he moved to Mercedes -Benz. From 1991 to 1996 he was general agent of the then Daimler -Benz group in Poland. In 1993 he started to build its own group of companies that manufactures racing cars. Today Zasada, who is married and has a daughter is, according to statistics from the magazine " Wprost " with an estimated fortune of about 405 million zloty number 38 of the list of the hundred richest men in Poland.
