Social Democracy of Poland

The Social Democracy of Poland ( Polska Polish Socjaldemokracja; SDPL ) is a political party in Poland. It was founded on 20 April 2004 of 25 breakaway SLD deputies and nine other politicians. Your youth organization called Association Young Social Democrats Stowarzyszenie ( Młoda Socjaldemokracja, SMS). In the founding year, one third of SdPL members previously had never been to a party, 40 % were under 35 years old.

Program

After self- representation of the party triggered the secession was the nepotism, corruption and scandals in the SLD. Consequently, it advertises to want to wage a resolute struggle against corruption ( instrument is the establishment of an independent anti -corruption agency to be) and to free the state from the party rule.

In foreign policy, the party is in favor of a balance in its relations with its European partners and the United States. It is regarded as pro-European and calls for the rapid ratification of the European Constitution and the Lisbon Treaty.

Domestically, it calls for a parliamentary democracy with a chamber and a secular state, in which the public domain remains neutral by faith. Governments should retain a maximum of church financing. The SDPL supports the possibility of abortion.

In the business section of its program, the SDPL calls for a progressive tax on non - self-employed, taking account of social considerations in privatization, and more protection for temporary workers. They want to promote the trade unions and their development in the private sector.
