Socialist Left (Germany)
The Socialist Left (SL ) is a political trend in the Left Party. It was founded on August 19, 2006 in Wuppertal and represents linkskeynesianische and neo-Marxist positions.

The union- oriented Socialist Left (SL ) aims at a modern socialist party members. The flow currently has over 800 members. It is primarily active in the political education. The founding members of the SL are mainly from around the former WASG, including many full-time union officials. The SL emphasizes the necessity of public ownership or public control of the financial sector, important key industries, public services and economic democracy. She calls for a concentration of DIE LINKE on the common interests of workers, the unemployed and pensioners and criticized, inter alia, Advances for a Basic Income ( UBI ). The SL rejects from beyond the EU treaties and represents Euro - Keynesian positions.
The member of the Federal Council of the SL speakers, the union secretary Ralf Krämer ( Economic Policy Department Verdi ), a member of the editorial committee for the basic program of the party DIE LINKE.
