Société Centrale Canine

The Société Centrale Canine ( SCC) is the French national governing body for dog breeds within the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI ). It regulates in its responsibility of dog breeds and dog sports. Your full name is Société Centrale Canine pour l' amélioration des races de chiens en France ( fr. for Central Association for the Improvement of breeds in France). Its members are regional canine clubs and specialized breed clubs. Takes you on behalf of the French State, the national breed registry for all bred in France FCI and SCC races Livre des Origines Français ( LOF ) and regardless of a database of all in France over the legal animal identification registered dogs.

Within the FCI, the SCC is responsible for the standards of the French breeds. At national level, it recognizes also the Briquet de Provence and the Cursinu.
