Society for Animation Studies

The Society for Animation Studies (SAS ) is an international, interdisciplinary association of animation film historians, theorists and scientists. The SAS was founded in 1987 by Harvey Deneroff. Acting President Maureen Furniss.

Its principal activities include the SAS host an annual scientific conference, issues publications for further development of the field and the exchange of knowledge among members.
