Södertälje Fotbollsarena

The Södertälje Fotbollsarena is a Swedish football stadium in Södertälje. Located in the district Geneta Stadium will host the home matches of local football clubs Assyriska Föreningen and Syrianska FC.

History

The Södertälje Fotbollsarena was given after the rise of Assyriska Föreningen in the Allsvenskan end of 2005 in order to replace the previously used stadium Barsta IP. In November 2005, the arena was built for 12 million euros, was opened. During the playout of the Royal League 2005/ 06 the Stockholm club Hammarby IF and IF Djurgårdens used the stadium partly for their home games.

Building

The first is held by the community Södertälje plant had a natural grass field, which was replaced in 2008 by artificial turf and under which a soil heating is installed. The stadium holds 6,400 spectators, of which 3,460 seats and 2,940 standing places. Capacity can be added along with additional grandstands. The attendance record is 8,453 followers at the local derby between Assyriska Föreningen and Syrianska FC in the second division season 2009 in May of this year.
