Natriumtellurid is an inorganic chemical compound of sodium from the group of Telluride.
Production and representation
Natriumtellurid may be recovered in liquid ammonia in the absence of air and moisture by the reaction of sodium with tellurium.
Properties
Natriumtellurid is a moisture- sensitive white odorless solid which decomposes immediately in air under dark coloration. It is soluble in water, the solution quickly separates black, powdered tellurium contact with air. It has a cubic crystal structure with space group Fm3m.
Use
Natriumtellurid can be used in organic syntheses.
