Sofia Helin

Sofia Margareta Helin ( born April 25, 1972 in Hovsta, community Örebro ) is a Swedish actress. In addition to her theater work, she has served since the mid- 1990s, roles in more than 20 film and television productions.

Biography

Sofia Helin grew up in a small town close to Linköping and has already participated in school plays. A study course in the history of ideas at Lund University broke it off. From 1994 to 1996 Helin visited instead Calle Flygares teaterskola, a drama school in Stockholm. In 2001, she completed her education at the Teaterhögskolan ( Drama School ) in Stockholm from where she had studied, among others, together with Joakim Nätterqvist. This was followed by several stage engagements in the Swedish capital, including the Stockholm City Theatre and the Empire Theatre.

2005 Helin was nominated for a Swedish film award Guldbagge for Best Actress for her role in Return to Dalarna. 2007/ 08 she starred in the film adaptation of Jan Guillou's novel series by the Swedish Knights Templar Arn Magnusson. In the 2012 broadcast on ZDF Swedish-Danish TV crime series The Bridge - transit to death Helin embodied on the side of Kim Bodnia the female lead of the Saga Norén, a Commissioner with autistic traits.

Sofia Helin lives in Stockholm and is married to her Swedish castmates Daniel Götschenhjelm. From the relationship one son (* 2003) and a daughter (* 2009) shows. At the time of her acting training, she suffered a serious bicycle accident, from which they zurückbehielt permanent scars on the face.
