Sofie Goos

Sofie Goos ( born May 6, 1980 in Antwerp) is a Belgian triathlete and Ironman champion (2009, 2012).

Career

Sofie Goos starts as a triathlete at competitions both on the Central ( 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, running 21.1 kilometers ) as well as on long- distance ( 3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling, 42.195 km running).

In November 2009 she won the Ironman Florida triathlon on the long distance.

In the middle distance it reached in July 2011, the third consecutive win at Ironman 70.3 Antwerp.

In May 2012, she won in Brazil its second Ironman victory, and in July she was fifth at the Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt am Main.

Sofie Goos now lives in Antwerp.
