Soko (singer)
SoKo ( born October 26, 1986 in Bordeaux bourgeois Stéphanie Alexandra Mina Sokolinski ) is a French singer and actress.
Biography
Her father had Polish- Russian roots and died as a task force was five years old. Her mother is Italian- French. At the age of 16 years SoKo left home and moved to Paris, where she attended drama school. She now lives in Los Angeles. The artist name SoKo based on Sokolinskis nickname. Characteristic of her English songs is her by sounding French accent.
Soko landed in 2007 with the song I'll Kill Her one hit in Denmark. Also in Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany it is now known and successful. She has performed for example to radio Fritz Birthday " Fritz 15" on 1 March 2008 at the Arena Berlin. About four years after the release of the hit single I'll Kill Her published in 2012 the first full album by the French: I Thought I Was an Alien, which she recorded with the Elliott Smith producer Fritz Michaud. The songs vary from melancholic neo-folk, experimental punk and indie rock. Sokos French accent is not as pronounced and no longer a stylistic device. In spring 2012, the singer went on a European tour and came for a handful of concerts in Germany, among others, to Munich, Cologne and Hamburg. Your song We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow is the soundtrack to the spring of 2014 viral video hit Ascended First Kiss by Tatia Pllieva that over 46 million views (as of 3/14/2014 ) YouTube import.
For her role in Xavier Giannolis Drama À l' origine 2010 she received a César Award nomination for Best Young Actress.
