Solander Islands
The Solanderinseln English Solander Islands are one of New Zealand ( Southland District ) and the South Island are upstream. The uninhabited islands are 0.7 km ². The islands are of volcanic origin.
On March 11, 1770 James Cook discovered on his Endeavour the islands and named it after traveling on this journey Swedish botanist Daniel Solander.
