Solférino (Paris Métro)

Solferino is an underground station of the Paris Métro. It is located below the Boulevard Saint- Germain in the 7th arrondissement of Paris and is served by the metro line 12. The station is named after the Battle of Solferino. In about 300 meters away is the Musée d' Orsay.

The station was taken on November 5, 1910 in operation, as the portion of the line was opened in A from Porte de Versailles to the station Notre-Dame- de -Lorette. On March 27, 1931, the line A was renamed in line 12.
