Solo Display Team

The Koninklijke Luchtmacht the Dutch armed forces maintains two permanent Solo Display Team for aerobatics.

The F -16 Solo Display Team was founded in 1979 and currently flies from Leeuwarden from a fighter aircraft type Lockheed F- 16 Fighting Falcon. The squadron consists of one pilot and two aerobatic instructors and ground crew, the team was assembled alternately from one stationed in the original three airfields Twenthe, Leeuwarden and Volkel seasons. After the closure of the air base Twenthe is the location of the F -16 Solo Display Team alternately Leeuwarden Volkel or. The current pilot, Tobias Schutte, comes from a stationed in Leeuwarden season. The team occurs in many European countries, and also flew on an air show at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The F-16 in 2006 was at the ILA in Berlin as a guest. Since then, the F -16 Solo Display Team is invited to many European and American air shows and air shows.

Pilots

The PC-7 Solo Display Team flying the propeller plane Pilatus PC -7 and has existed since 1995. Again, there is a pilot, two coaches and the ground crew. These two teams fly on a regular basis also.

On special occasions make the Dutch Air Force for flight demonstrations from also show flight teams with helicopters. This is done firstly on search -and- rescue aircraft of the type Augusta- Bell AB 412 SP, simulate, for example, sea rescues. 2002 was the Koninklijke Luchtmacht but also the first armed force in the world, the special screenings with a combat helicopter Hughes offered AH -64 Apache.
