Sólveig Pétursdóttir

Sólveig Guðrún Pétursdóttir ( born March 11, 1952) is Icelandic politician ( Independence Party ).

Life

Sólveig Pétursdóttir studied law at the University of Iceland. She is since 1991 a member of parliament, first for the electoral district of the capital Reykjavík, from 2003 to 2009 for the constituency of Reykjavík South. From 1999-2003 she was Minister of Justice and Religion.

From 2005 to 2009 she was chairman of the Icelandic parliament Althingi.
