Somharuthai Jaroensiri

Jaroensiri Somhasurthai ( Thai: สม หฤทัย เจริญ ศิริ; * November 15, 1971 in Nakhon Pathom ) is a former Thai badminton player.

Sporting career

In 1992 Jaroensiri Somhasurthai first time at the Olympics in women's singles. There, she won her first round match against Joy Kitzmiller from the United States and also the second game against Christine Magnusson. In the third round match against Pernille Nedergaard she was also successful, but lost in the quarterfinals against Susi Susanti and became fifth. At the Olympics in 1996 they already failed in round two and was 17

National they won for the first time at the Thai Championships in 1987, both in women's doubles with Piyathip Sansaniyakulvilai as well as in women's singles. Seven other individual titles, eight doubles titles and one mixed titles followed until 1997. In the latter year she won bronze with Saralee Thungthongkam in the South East Asia Games.
