Son Bonet is a special landing pad on the municipality in the district of Marratxí Es Pont d'Inca on the Balearic island of Mallorca. It is located four kilometers from the center of the capital Palma, on the road from Palma to Inca.

On July 2, 1916 landed at the inauguration of the first electric tram from Palma de Mallorca Salvador Hedilla with his aircraft on the former airfield of Son Bonet.

In 1920, Son Bonet was officially the first airport ( Aeródromo de Mallorca) was put into operation. The first commercial airline service in 1927 was made by the airline Iberia LAE. Son Bonet, the first tourists were handled in Mallorca.

Between 1936 and 1939, Son Bonet served in the Spanish Civil War under the leadership of Francisco Franco as a military airfield. The air forces of Italy started from there its bombing of the cities of Barcelona and Valencia. Until the opening of today's airport of Palma de Mallorca, the Aeródromo de Son Sant Juan in 1960, Son Bonet was used for both military and civilian.

Today, the aerodrome in Son Bonet is used with various hangars of civil aviation. Among other things, this manor is the first Aero Club de Mallorca ( ACM) with flight school, helicopter squadron and fire-fighting planes to fight forest fires, as well as a company for helicopter pilot training. The airfield Son Bonet is administered also as the major airport Son Sant Juan of the operating company AENA. 2005 4107 aircraft movements were registered; in 2008 the number was 10,297.
