Son montuno

Son montuno is a Cuban music that was developed by Arsenio Rodríguez from the Son, by introducing montunos called instrumental solos. He referred to the Guaguancó, stressed the importance of trumpets and tres guitar and introduced new instruments, like congas and piano. Beny Moré added influences of Guaracha and bolero.
