Soprano (rapper)
Soprano ( born January 14, 1979 in Marseille, civil Saïd M'Roumbaba ) is a French rapper from Marseille ( south of France ).
Biography
Soprano who has Comorian roots, founded in 1994, the group Psy 4 de la Rime, a French hip- hop group. They were discovered by IAM head Akhenaton and produced. Psy 4 de la Rime consists of the musicians Soprano ( Saïd M'Roumbaba ), KOMET, Alonzo ( Kassimou Djae ), Don Vicenzo ( Illiassa Issilame ) and DJ Sya Styles ( Rachid Ait Baar ). The group became known by a documentary by Arte. According to this documentation, their performances were sold out and they played on the label 361 Records (the label of Akhenaton ) and a few songs were also represented on the La Cosca Mixtape 1999, and a year later on the " Sad Hill Impact " compilation by DJ Kheops (IAM). Psy 4 de la Rime in 2002 released her first album, " Block Party ".
The single " Le son de bandits" also became a hit in the French hip hop scene. In 2005, the album " Enfants De La Lune " was released. The last album of Psy 4 de la Rime was published in early 2008 " Les Cités D' Or" and reached # 1 on the French album charts.
Soprano began his solo career in 2005.
His debut album Faut Vivre Puisqu'll (2007 ) reached platinum status. The album will be produced by his own production company Street Skillz and published on Hostile Records / EMI France. The most famous hit on the album is " Halla Halla ". 2007 Soprano was nominated at the MTV Music Awards in Munich as " Best French Act".
The single Victory from 2008 is used in the video game FIFA 09 and also appeared on the soundtrack to the game.
In October 2010 Soprano released his second solo album " La Colombe " ( German: The pigeon / dove ). The album, for which he also undertook a concert tour of France, went straight to # 1 on the French album charts. First single from the album was: Crazy / Darwa. Originally, " La Colombe " is a double album and " La Colombe et le Corbeau " (translated: " The Dove and the Crow " ) are called, but he decided to make two separate albums from it, so that the album " Le Corbeau " later, in 2011, appeared.
In October 2010 Soprano traveled for the first time in the form of a promotional tour of Germany. In February 2011 Soprano went again on " La Colombe " tour and traveled to countries in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Slovakia.
