Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría

Maria Soraya Sáenz de Santa María Antón ( born June 10, 1971 in Valladolid) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular.

Life and career

She studied law and completed her studies in 1994. She then worked as a prosecutor in Leon, before the age of 27 went into politics in 1999.

She is a deputy for Madrid Member of the Spanish Parliament since 2004. In 2008 she was elected the first female speaker of the Partido Popular. Since December 2011 she is first vice president of the government, government spokeswoman and minister in the Cabinet Presidency Rajoy.

Sáenz de Santa María is married and has a son.
