Soslan Ktsoyev

Soslan Kzojew (Russian Сослан Кцоев; born October 7, 1982 in Beslan ) is a Russian wrestler. It was 2009 European Champion in free style at middleweight ( up to 84 kg body weight).

Career

Soslan Kzojew comes from North Ossetia and is a member of the sports club Spartak Vladikavkaz. He is or has been trained there by Chassan Apajew, Alan Abajew and Elbrus Dudayev. The 1.77 meter tall athlete weighs 85 kg and is struggling in the middleweight division and exclusively in free style. With the rings he began in 1999. He has an education in business administration, but is concerned at present only with the rings.

Prior to his victory at the 2009 European Championship in Vilnius, where he was already over 26 years old, Soslan Kzojew has not participated in any other international championship. It can thus be described as a late starter on the international wrestling mat. Since 2005 he has made ​​however on several important international tournaments already victories or very good rankings. For example, he won in 2007 at the " Dan Kolev " tournament in Sofia before Miroslaw Geschew from Bulgaria and Gennadi Laliew from Kazakhstan. In 2008 he won the Cup in Kiev Taras Danko from Ukraine and Revaz Mindoraschwili from Georgia, the Beijing Olympic champion should be a few months later.
