Sou'wester

A Südwester (English Sou'wester, . Norway Sydvest ) is a waterproof headgear for sailors. It is made from oil cloth or plastic as the outer material and partly as a cotton lining. Südwester have a wide brim that goes far beyond hanging back, so that rain water can not run into the clothing. The designation by the direction from which comes most of the rain, may come as well as the hat itself from Norwegian.
