Soultans

Soultans (sometimes The Soultans ) is called since 1995, a rhythm and blues / soul vocal trio.

Career

Femi Olakeji (vocals), Scott Winter (vocals until 1999) and the American Marvin Broadie (vocals until 1999) were 1995, the singer of the band was founded in London.

With the two tracks "Can not Take My Hands Off You" and the cover version of the Motown classic " I Heard It Through The Grapevine " they had small hits with placements in several European Top 20 charts. The British- American -born, but resident in Germany group released their debut album "Love, Sweat and Tears" in the spring of 1997 with the German label Coconut.

Later, two of the three members changed. Besides Femi Olakeji from the original cast members, the new members Danny Campbell from London and Johan van Rooy from the Netherlands came to the Soultans. With this lineup they brought in 2001 the album "Tribute to Soul" in the BMG label out.

2001 took the Soultans part with her song " Set Me Free" of the successful authors duo Hendrik / v.Haaren ( Haddaway ) at the German Grand Prix preliminary round. In this preliminary decision in Hanover, the trio did not come through the first round also.

After 2001, compilations and best-of albums were mainly brought out (mostly in Coconut label).

As of 2002, there were next to Femi Olakeji, the two singers Sascha van Haasen and Mike Marshall members of Soultans.
