South German Railway Museum

The South German Railway Museum Heilbronn ( SEH ) is located in the district of Heilbronn Böckingen on the site of the former DB railway depot Heilbronn. The Trägerverein South German Railway Museum Heilbronn eV runs the museum. The Museum

The former DB Bahnbetriebswerk Heilbronn was commissioned in 1893 by the Royal Württemberg State Railways and taken over in 2000 by the sponsoring organization for museum purposes. The museum has 80 exhibits ( cars and locomotives ). On the site there is a roundhouse with working turntable and a large storage building. Steam locomotives

On display are locomotives of the series 0110, the Series 44, Series 50, Series 64, Series 80, Series of French 231 K 22, an express locomotive of the SNCF, as well as several industrial steam locomotives such as the locomotive 6 of GES. Diesel locomotives

Model Railway

Opening times and annual events

On weekends and holidays from March to October, the museum is open for visitors. Larger events are in May, the steam days and in September the steam engine festival, which is combined with a model train meeting of track 1.
