South Hwanghae Province

Hwanghae (South Hwanghae Province ) is a province in North Korea. It was created in 1954 by the division of the province of Hwanghae -do in Hwanghae- pukto and Hwanghae. The provincial capital is Haeju.

Geography

The province is bordered on the south by South Korea, on the west by the Yellow Sea, to the north by the province P'yŏngan - namdo and on the east by the province of Hwanghae- pukto.
