South Iwo Jima

Minami- Iwo Jima (Japanese南 硫黄岛, Minami- iota, literally, " south sulfur island " ) is the southernmost of the archipelago of the Ogasawara Islands islands belonging Kazan RETTO ( volcanic islands ), which lie south of the main Japanese islands. As the entire island group, it is one administratively to the Prefecture Tokyo. On 18 June 2007 the renaming of Minami- Iojima to Minami - iota, in which the customer reading was changed back to the earlier of岛On- reading took place.

Geography

Minami- Iwo Jima is located 60 km south of Iwo Jima and good 1300 km south of Tokyo.
