South of the Border (2009 film)
South of the Border is a documentary from 2009 by Oliver Stone. The film consists mainly of interviews with Latin American leaders. Among the Presidents Hugo Chávez ( Venezuela), Evo Morales ( Bolivia ), Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ( Argentina), Rafael Correa (Ecuador), Raul Castro ( Cuba), Fernando Lugo (Paraguay ), and Lula da Silva ( Brazil).
The documentary was first shown at the 66th International Film Festival of Venice in 2009. Writer was Tariq Ali, who described the film as a "political road movie". The economist Mark Weisbrot contributed to the film.
