South Ribble

South Ribble is an administrative district with the status of a borough in the county of Lancashire in England. Administrative center is the city of Leyland; significant sights are Bamber Bridge, Penwortham and Walton -le- Dale.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the urban districts Leyland and Walton -le- Dale and parts of Preston Rural District.
