Southern Highlands is the debut album of the German synthpop group Cetu Javu, which was released on 1 January 1990 by ZYX Records.

Background
The album was certified by Depeche Mode influences. It was produced by Cetu Javu and Matthias Härtl. It also flowed three in 1988, recorded at Studio M in Hanover by Jan Nemec title, "Situations ", "Have In Mind " and " Quién Lo Sabia? ", With a. The debut single, "Help Me Now!" (1987 ), ultimately did not come with the CD.
When the recordings began, the band was four years old. Two members of the original line-up, Martyn Thomas Chadwick and Cord were now no longer on the pitch.
With the help of New Life Sound Magazine editor - Sebastian Koch was born on 20 January 1988, the Talla 2XLC and contact with his music label Techno Drome International, which was contractually based on ZYX Music. The band signed a record contract with a term of two years and began working for the maxi-single "Situations ". After a few complications during studio work and various disagreements with ZYX Records the third maxi-single, "Have in Mind" was released on December 27, 1988, 1989, followed by " So Strange " and "A dónde ".
The Spanish origin of the singer Javier Revilla -Diez allowed the band two Spanish-language compositions ( which was first released as a B- side of the song "Situations " in April 1988, and later " Oye " " Quién Lo Sabia? "); later, the band should concentrating its efforts on Spanish texts.
The band toured again, and both have in Mind and A dónde became hits. The latter song made it to number # 2 of the Spanish charts. At this time, the end of 1989, leaving Stefan Engelke Cetu Javu and was replaced by Thorsten " Todde " Kraass.
After several delays appeared in 1990 "Southern Lands"; it was at the same time also the last release on the label ZYX Records. The following works have been released by now on the Spanish record label Blanco y Negro Music, and was especially apparent in the Latin countries, such as Spain, Argentina and Peru, celebrate successes.
