South Ndebele language spoken by about 600,000 South Ndebele, who live mainly in the region, founded in 1984, former Homelands KwaNdebele in South Africa, Gauteng and Limpopo (formerly Transvaal ) in South Africa.
Another 1.4 million people in the region speak it as a second language.

History of amaNdebele
In the early 19th century, the amaNdebele separated from the Zulu and moved westward, first in the area of today's Pretoria, where the name came up as a foreign designation by neighboring peoples Ndebele.
