Southern Norway

Sørlandet ( German " southern land " ) is located at the Skagerrak coast in the south of the country one of the five regions or parts of the country (Norwegian landsdel ) of Norway. Previously, the area now Sørlandet was called Agder, as well as geographically corresponded approximately to this historic province. The term Sørlandet has been introduced in 1902 as a separate part of the country, before that it was part of the Vestlandet ( Westland ) region.
