Sovetsky Soyuz-class battleship

The Sowjetski Soyuz class (Russian тип " Советский Союз ", also Project 23, проекта 23) was a ship class of battleships of the Red peasant and working - fleet whose conception began in 1935. There were plans for 16 battle ships of this class. The construction of four was begun, none was completed. Three were under construction as the German -Soviet war broke out.
